Forecast models from the National Weather Service and others indicate a high near 68–70 °F for San Francisco on September 22, aligning with the market’s leading 68–69 °F bin at 33.5 % implied probability. Persistent marine-layer stratus and moderate onshore flow from the Pacific are expected to limit daytime heating, consistent with September climatology where average highs reach about 70.6 °F. Recent cooler conditions (mid-60s) reflect stronger than normal onshore winds and cloud cover, while any reduction in marine influence or clearer skies could allow readings into the low 70s. Key variables include forecast cloud fraction, wind direction and speed, and the precise timing of marine-layer clearance, all of which remain subject to short-range model adjustments before resolution.
