**Persistent warm, humid conditions under a southeasterly flow are anchoring overnight lows in the upper 70s across Houston on September 10.** National Weather Service forecasts from the Houston/Galveston office project a Thursday night low near 78°F following daytime highs in the low 90s amid scattered thunderstorms and high dew points that limit radiational cooling. This aligns with the market's leading 78-79°F bin at 38% implied probability and the nearby 76-77°F outcome at 32.5%, as the current air mass lacks any frontal passage or drier intrusion that could produce more typical mid-September cooling to the 73.9°F climatological average. Recent observations show elevated minimums (e.g., 77-80°F range in prior days), with model consensus and official guidance converging on minimal overnight drops despite afternoon convection. Key resolution factors include precise station readings at official sites like Hobby or Intercontinental airports, where cloud cover and storm timing introduce modest uncertainty around the exact minimum.
