Recent heat in Karachi stems from weakened southwesterly sea breezes linked to Arabian Sea circulation patterns, pushing the September 21 maximum to 40.7°C at official stations—the highest in nine years. Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts for September 22 center on 36–38°C amid easing conditions and rising humidity, though urban stations have shown variability up to 41°C previously. Trader consensus favoring 38–39°C reflects uncertainty over localized heat retention, model spread in steering flows, and historical September extremes near 43°C, with resolution hinging on the day's peak reading across monitored sites as cooler air advection strengthens later in the week.
