The Parti Québécois maintains its commanding position in the October 5, 2026 Quebec general election race, driven by consistent polling leads near 29% and strong francophone support that translates into a projected majority of seats in most models. Recent surveys from Léger and Pallas Data show little movement in the final weeks of the campaign, with the Coalition Avenir Québec rebounding modestly to around 23-24% under new leader Christine Fréchette amid voter focus on the economy and U.S. trade tensions. The Quebec Liberal Party trails further back, while smaller parties including the Conservatives and Québec solidaire register limited gains. Trader consensus reflects these stable vote and seat projections, with the PQ favored to secure the most seats despite the likelihood of a minority outcome.
