Persistent rain and southerly winds are holding Seattle temperatures in a mild range, with National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts pointing to an overnight low near 55–57°F under overcast skies. Cloud cover and steady precipitation suppress radiative cooling while advection of warmer maritime air from the south limits overnight drops, keeping the daily minimum above typical mid-September climatology of about 53.5°F. Model consensus shows limited spread, with the primary uncertainty tied to exact timing of any clearing or wind shift that could allow slightly more cooling before dawn. Traders have clustered probabilities on the 50–55°F bins, reflecting these stable atmospheric conditions and the market’s assessment of official Sea-Tac observations used for resolution.
