Trader consensus around an 80-81°F low for Miami on September 9 reflects the National Weather Service Miami official report of a 79°F minimum at 5:27 a.m. EDT under typical late-summer conditions, including easterly flow, high humidity near 80-90%, and scattered showers that prevented significant radiational cooling. This aligns with the 1991-2020 climatological normal low of 77°F and recent daily observations showing minima in the mid-to-upper 70s amid persistent warm Gulf and Atlantic moisture. Model guidance and surface observations indicated limited overnight drops, with no cold fronts or clear-sky outbreaks to push readings into the 70s. A stronger easterly surge or unexpected clear skies overnight could have lowered the minimum toward 76-77°F, though such shifts remained unlikely given the established pattern.
