A weather disturbance tracking across the region is the main driver keeping trader focus on the 68–71°F range for Denver’s September 24 high. Official National Weather Service guidance and local forecasts show morning low-to-mid 50s rising under increasing clouds and showers, with daytime highs limited to the upper 60s or low 70s as reduced solar heating and evaporative cooling from rain suppress temperatures. Ensemble differences in shower timing, cloud optical depth, and boundary-layer moisture create the tight clustering between 68–69°F and 70–71°F bins, while warmer or cooler outliers remain low-probability. Updated model runs and National Weather Service briefings on Wednesday will refine these thresholds ahead of market resolution.
