This market will resolve according to the party of the candidate who wins the 2026 Florida Attorney General election currently scheduled for November 3, 2026. The nominees of the Democratic and Republican parties may be named in the contract for the convenience of traders. In the event that any named candidate is replaced as the nominee of their respective party prior to election day, the name in the contract will be updated and the market will resolve based on the replacement nominee of the party. If the results of the election are not definitively known by July 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of the election according to a consensus of credible reporting. In case of ambiguity, this market will resolve based on the official results as reported by the electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election.James Uthmeier, the Republican incumbent appointed in February 2025, holds an 86.5% implied probability in the Florida Attorney General race due to his strong fundraising edge—nearly 10-to-1 over Democrat José Javier Rodríguez—and Florida’s consistent Republican lean in recent statewide contests. Both candidates advanced without primary opposition after challengers failed to qualify, clearing the path for a November 3 general election. Uthmeier’s recent public focus on enforcement priorities, AI policy, and responses to investigations such as the Hope Florida matter has kept him in the news cycle as the sitting attorney general. Rodríguez, a former state senator and U.S. Labor Department official, has secured labor and Democratic endorsements but trails significantly in resources and faces structural headwinds in the state. Trader consensus reflects these incumbency, financial, and partisan dynamics two months before the vote.
