Forecasts from Singapore's Meteorological Service indicate afternoon thundery showers on September 22 under ongoing Southwest Monsoon conditions, with southeasterly to southwesterly winds favoring localized convection that often caps daytime highs. Official outlooks project daily maxima of 33–34°C on most days in late September, occasionally reaching 35°C, yet recent model guidance and historical patterns during similar monsoon phases point to peaks clustering around 32–33°C when showers develop by midday. Recent dry spells earlier in the month have elevated baseline warmth, but increased shower activity in the second fortnight introduces cooling and cloud cover that narrows the range. Market-implied odds reflect this balance, with traders weighting the moderating influence of expected precipitation against the potential for clearer intervals to push readings higher. Updated NEA briefings and radar trends ahead of the date remain key variables.
