Trump publicly endorsed renaming Immigration and Customs Enforcement to National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (NICE) in late April 2026 after a social media suggestion, repeating the concept in May interviews and a June Truth Social poll that drew strong engagement. The idea aligns with efforts to shift agency messaging during expanded deportation operations, yet any formal change requires congressional legislation rather than executive action alone. Administration officials have described it primarily as a meme to counter media narratives, with border czar Tom Homan reportedly opposing it and no bills introduced. Trader consensus on Polymarket reflects these barriers, assigning low implied probabilities for completion by late 2026 deadlines amid competing legislative priorities and internal skepticism. No major updates have emerged since June.

This market’s primary resolution source will be official information from the Trump administration; however, a consensus of credible information from major news outlets or government statements will also be used.
