In the Rio Grande do Norte Senate race, where voters select two candidates on October 4 for the state's two open seats, trader consensus prices Zenaide Maia highest for second place amid a fragmented field behind frontrunner Styvenson Valentim. Recent polling aggregates, including Exatus data from mid-September, show Valentim well ahead on summed first-and-second preferences while Maia, Coronel Hélio, Samanda de Lula, and Rafael Motta cluster in the mid-teens to low thirties, reflecting the mechanics of dual voting that compresses margins for the runner-up spot. Incumbency advantages, party coalitions such as Endireita RN and Esperança e Trabalho, and limited late-campaign movement have kept second-place positioning fluid, with no single challenger consolidating support. Further polling shifts, turnout differentials among key regions, or last-minute endorsements could widen gaps before ballots close.
