Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a warming trend for Los Angeles on September 23 driven by reduced marine layer influence and morning low clouds giving way to afternoon sun. Key variables include the strength and timing of onshore southwest flow, which can cap highs near the coast at 78–82°F while allowing inland areas to reach the mid-80s, plus any lingering fog or stratus that delays clearing. Ensemble spread remains notable due to typical September variability in coastal stratus and subtle pressure gradients. Trader-implied probabilities cluster around 76–81°F, reflecting this coastal-inland contrast and model uncertainty rather than a single consensus value, with lower odds on extremes tied to historical September baselines near 83°F. Updated NHC or local office briefings in the next 48 hours could shift positioning.
