Katie Hobbs holds an 83% implied probability of winning Maricopa County in the 2026 Arizona governor race, reflecting her status as Democratic incumbent with established support in the state's largest population center. Andy Biggs, the Republican nominee who secured his party's nod in the July primary with 73.6% of the vote, sits at 14%. Recent polling aggregates show Hobbs ahead statewide by roughly eight points, consistent with forecasters rating the contest Lean Democratic. Key drivers include Hobbs' advertising edge, her selection of independent former Mesa mayor John Giles as running mate to appeal to centrists, and Biggs' record as a conservative U.S. representative. Voter turnout patterns in Maricopa, where early and mail voting play a major role, remain central to final margins ahead of the November 3 election.
