Incumbent Marie Gluesenkamp Perez holds a substantial edge in the Washington 3rd congressional district race due to her two prior narrow victories, centrist positioning within the Blue Dog Coalition, and a commanding fundraising lead exceeding $6 million compared to challenger John Braun’s roughly $2 million. The August 4 top-two primary confirmed both candidates for the November 3 general election, with Perez and Braun each securing about 39 percent amid a divided Democratic field. Braun, the state Senate minority leader backed by President Trump, benefits from recent outside spending including a $1.7 million ad reservation by a Trump-aligned PAC, yet the district’s mixed partisan lean—Trump carried it in 2024—has kept most forecasts at toss-up or lean Democratic. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing emphasizes Perez’s incumbency and resource advantages over Braun’s challenge.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
