Mark Tedford secured the Republican nomination for Oklahoma’s 1st congressional district after prevailing in a crowded June 2026 primary and subsequent runoff developments, while Democrat John Croisant advanced unopposed. The Tulsa-area district maintains a strong Republican lean, reflected in its R+22 partisan voting index and consistent double-digit GOP margins in prior cycles, following the departure of incumbent Kevin Hern for a Senate bid. Tedford’s substantial fundraising advantage and state legislative experience have reinforced trader consensus around his commanding position ahead of the November general election. A shift would require an unforeseen national Democratic surge or a significant late development affecting the Republican nominee.
