**Incumbent Republican Rich McCormick faces Democrat Tony Kozycki in Georgia’s 7th congressional district on November 3, 2026, with all major forecasters rating the seat Solid or Safe Republican.** The district carries an R+11 Partisan Voter Index and McCormick won the prior cycle with roughly 65 percent of the vote. Recent primaries left both nominees in place without further disruption, and available polling plus prediction-market pricing show McCormick holding a wide lead consistent with the district’s underlying Republican tilt. Georgia law requires a December 1 runoff only if no candidate exceeds 50 percent; trader consensus at 99.6 percent for an outright first-round winner reflects the expectation that McCormick’s margin will comfortably clear that threshold. The primary remaining variables that could theoretically alter this outcome include a late-breaking scandal, health event, or unusually low Republican turnout, though none currently appear probable given the race’s structural and polling fundamentals.
