Trader consensus shows a tight race because nominations were only recently certified, no public polling has emerged, and voters rank homelessness, encampments, and public safety as top issues without clear frontrunners emerging on these or related priorities such as crime response and infrastructure. Recent candidate statements on safety measures and budget priorities have yet to shift positioning materially. Further campaign events, local media coverage, or candidate debates before election day could separate contenders by highlighting differences in experience or proposed approaches to these shared concerns.
