The Prague mayoral race remains tightly contested ahead of the October 9–10, 2026 municipal elections, with the new council selecting the mayor through coalition negotiations. Recent candidate list finalizations have positioned Tomáš Portlík of SPOLU (ODS-TOP 09) with a broad slate of sitting district mayors emphasizing housing, transport, and development priorities, while Petr Hlaváček of STAN draws on his role as deputy mayor for urban planning. Adam Scheinherr, Jan Hušbauer of ANO, and smaller-party leaders including Tereza Nislerová add further fragmentation, as shown in early September preference surveys. Trader consensus reflected in current odds captures this uncertainty over post-election alliances and turnout among key voter blocs, with no single frontrunner yet commanding a decisive edge. Upcoming debates and final campaign pushes could shift positioning before council formation.
