Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and multiple models indicates a high near 81°F for New York City on September 18, driven by northerly winds behind a frontal passage that clear skies and advect a cooler but still mild air mass. This setup favors diurnal heating into the low 80s under mostly sunny conditions, consistent with seasonal norms slightly above the 75.6°F historical average high yet well below late-summer extremes. Trader positioning reflects this agreement, concentrating implied probability on the 80–81°F range with limited dispersion to adjacent bins, as model runs show minimal spread and no signals for stronger warming or unexpected cooling. Updated guidance through the morning of the 18th will refine any final adjustments ahead of market resolution.
