This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Gimhae Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 13 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=rkpk If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current meteorological conditions and forecast models from sources like the GFS strongly support a daily maximum of 30°C in Busan on September 13, 2026.** Clear to mostly clear skies, light southerly or variable winds, and high pressure have allowed daytime heating to build steadily, with afternoon readings approaching or reaching this threshold under typical late-summer insolation levels for the region. This aligns with observed trends: recent days have featured highs in the upper 20s°C amid stable, dry air masses with minimal cloud cover or precipitation. Official monitoring (such as from the Korea Meteorological Administration) and model consensus show no significant cooling influences like frontal passages or increased marine layer effects that would cap temperatures lower. The market-implied odds reflect traders' assessment of these data, where real-capital stakes aggregate the high likelihood of exactly 30°C as the recorded peak. Realistic challenges remain limited but include last-minute increases in cloud cover, stronger onshore winds, or minor model revisions in the final hours that could trim the high by 1–2°C. Historical mid-September baselines for Busan hover near 26–28°C, so the current setup represents a modestly warmer anomaly driven by the persistent clear conditions. Final resolution depends on the official station reading, with any post-forecast adjustments potentially shifting outcomes if observations diverge from guidance.
