Official forecasts for Austin on September 13, 2026, from sources including the National Weather Service and WeatherBug indicate afternoon highs near 100°F under mostly sunny skies, south winds of 5-10 mph, and high humidity driving heat indices to 107-110°F. This aligns with the market's strong consensus on 100-101°F (59%) and 98-99°F (34.5%), as persistent late-summer warmth and dew points in the mid-70s support readings in that narrow band. Recent observations show temperatures climbing steadily through the morning toward that range, with minimal cloud cover or precipitation risk to suppress the peak. Historical context reinforces the positioning: the September average high is 91.6°F, while the all-time record of 102°F occurred in 2011. Updated model runs and real-time surface observations will refine the exact maximum before resolution.
