NDP holds a clear lead in trader assessments for the October 24, 2026, British Columbia provincial election, reflecting its position as incumbent with recent polling support around 41-45% against the Conservatives at 35-37%. Premier David Eby called the snap vote on September 22 amid opposition disarray, including the rapid resignation of Conservative leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay and subsequent consolidation under interim leader Lorne Doerkson, with several MLAs rejoining the caucus from CentreBC. Surveys indicate regional divides and voter dissatisfaction with provincial direction, yet the NDP maintains an edge in key urban areas. Smaller parties such as the Greens register in the low double digits or below, limiting their path to victory under the first-past-the-post system.
