Scandals involving domestic abuse allegations against incumbent Republican Rep. Max Miller, including claims from his ex-wife that surfaced in early August 2026, have shifted trader consensus toward Democratic challenger Brian Poindexter in Ohio’s 7th Congressional District. Multiple polls now show Poindexter ahead in the Trump-won district, prompting nonpartisan raters to move the race from Likely Republican to Toss-up. Poindexter, a union ironworker and Brook Park council member, has drawn Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee support and outside spending aimed at working-class voters. Miller has rejected calls to withdraw, plans self-funding and ad buys, and retains National Republican Congressional Committee backing, though recent surveys indicate notable erosion in his support among Republicans. The November 3 general election remains the resolution trigger.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
