**Alexandre Leduc of Québec solidaire holds a modest lead in trader pricing for the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve seat in the October 5, 2026 Quebec general election, reflecting his incumbency since 2018 and the riding’s history as a QS stronghold.** The district, covering parts of Montreal’s Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough, delivered Leduc over 50% of the vote in 2022. Recent seat projections from mid-September place QS in the mid-to-high 30s with Parti Québécois (PQ) close behind in the low-to-mid 30s, creating a narrow two-way contest amid a fragmented field that includes the Liberals, CAQ, and Conservatives. Leduc’s emphasis on housing affordability, tenant protections, and community services aligns with local priorities in this urban, left-leaning constituency. Maude Brossard-Sabourin’s PQ candidacy seeks to revive sovereigntist support in a riding the party once dominated, while other contenders trail significantly in both forecasts and market odds. With roughly two weeks until election day, the tight spread stems from overlapping progressive voter bases and limited province-wide momentum that could shift turnout. Late polling shifts, candidate visibility in the final stretch, or differential mobilization among working-class and immigrant communities remain the main variables that could widen or close the gap before votes are cast.
