This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from South Carolina. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from South Carolina, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The special election following Lindsey Graham’s July 2026 death has sustained interest in the November 3 contest between appointed Republican incumbent Darline Graham and Democratic nominee Annie Andrews, with recent primaries demonstrating above-average participation driven by competitive Republican races and redistricting debates. Trader consensus clusters around 1.6M–2M total votes because South Carolina’s roughly 3.4 million registered voters face typical midterm turnout patterns, offset by ongoing voter-roll maintenance that removed over 1.2 million names since 2022 and Democratic efforts to boost suburban and minority mobilization. Early voting begins October 19, registration closes early October, and polling shows a Republican advantage that limits upside while the race’s visibility prevents sharp downside, leaving the narrow 1.6M–1.8M and 1.8M–2M bands as the highest-probability outcomes absent major late shifts in enthusiasm or weather.
