**Current NWS and model guidance for Chicago on September 25 points to an overnight low in the mid-50s, with trader consensus reflected in elevated probabilities for the 56-57°F bin amid closely matched extreme outcomes.** Easterly winds near 5 mph, combined with mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies, are expected to limit radiational cooling while moderating temperatures near Lake Michigan. This setup aligns with climatological norms for late September, where average lows hover around 55°F, though model spreads introduce uncertainty in exact minimums. Recent observations show stable high pressure and minimal frontal activity, reducing the likelihood of sharp drops below 50°F or anomalous warmth above 60°F. Key resolution hinges on the precise 24-hour minimum at official stations, with any last-minute forecast adjustments from the National Weather Service likely influencing remaining market movement before midnight.
