Current National Weather Service forecasts for Austin project an overnight low near 76–77°F on September 23 under persistent ridging and easterly flow, with minimal overnight cooling expected amid high humidity and light winds. This consensus supports mid-70s readings as the most likely minimum, consistent with climatological norms for late September. The near-even market split between sub-68°F and 86°F+ outcomes appears driven by model uncertainty in boundary-layer mixing or any late-day frontal influence, despite limited short-term variability in guidance. Traders are weighting the possibility of modest forecast shifts before resolution, as new model runs and surface observations become available.
