Widespread showers and thunderstorms, driven by high atmospheric moisture and light southeasterly winds, are suppressing daytime heating in Miami today and anchoring market-implied odds near 84–87°F. Official National Weather Service forecasts indicate a high near 86°F with a 60–90% precipitation chance, while other models cluster around 84–85°F as clouds and rain cool surface temperatures during peak afternoon hours. This convective pattern aligns with typical late-September climatology for the region, where humidity near 80–90% and frequent storms often prevent reaching the seasonal average high of 86°F. Traders appear to weigh the balance between brief clearing allowing modest warming and persistent rainfall keeping readings in the mid-80s, with resolution depending on the exact timing and intensity of convective cells.
