Official measurements from the National Weather Service station at Denver International Airport recorded a daily maximum of 79–81°F on September 12, 2026, aligning with the 80–81°F bin that captured full market-implied probability. This outcome fell near the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 80.3°F for the date, with clear skies, moderate southwesterly winds, and no significant moisture or frontal passages to drive deviations. Model guidance and surface observations throughout the day showed minimal spread, confirming the reading well before resolution criteria were finalized. Only an unexpected station calibration revision or localized microclimate effect at an alternate reporting site could realistically shift the final value outside this narrow range.
