El-Sayed secured the Democratic nomination in August after a narrow primary victory over Haley Stevens, drawing strong support from urban and progressive voters who dominate the county’s electorate. Republican nominee Mike Rogers, a former congressman, trails at 15% amid the county’s structural partisan tilt, even as statewide polling shows the overall Senate contest remaining competitive with El-Sayed holding a slim edge. Minor-party and independent options sit at lower implied probabilities, reflecting limited historical impact in Genesee County voting patterns. No major county-specific developments have shifted the outlook in recent weeks.
