Clear skies and light northwest winds are enabling strong daytime solar heating across the Seattle area today, with forecast models from NOAA and regional guidance converging on a daily maximum near 75°F at Sea-Tac and downtown stations. This aligns with the recent dry stretch after mid-month showers, allowing surface temperatures to climb several degrees above the 70.3°F September 17 climatological average. The narrow spread between the leading 74–75°F and 76–77°F market bins reflects minor differences in boundary-layer mixing depth and exact wind timing, while lower-probability bins account for the small chance of earlier marine air intrusion or thicker afternoon cloud development. Updated National Weather Service observations through midday will refine the final peak before resolution.
