Official measurements from National Weather Service stations, including Central Park and LaGuardia, recorded a daily maximum of 77–79°F on September 16, 2026, under mostly sunny skies, light southwest flow, and negligible precipitation. This aligned with climatological normals near 76°F for mid-September while matching model consensus for modest warming above average. Trader consensus at 100% implied probability for the 78–79°F bin reflects the completed observational data rather than forecasts. Minor resolution uncertainty could arise from station-specific rounding protocols or rare post-event data revisions, though verified readings leave limited scope for shifts outside this narrow range.
