Recent polls ahead of Berlin’s September 20 state election show Die Linke holding a consistent lead over the AfD, with the former at 20–23 percent and the latter at 17–18 percent across INSA, Forschungsgruppe Wahlen, and Infratest dimap surveys conducted in early to mid-September. Die Linke’s rise from roughly 12 percent in the 2023 repeat election reflects stronger support in central districts, while AfD gains have been concentrated in outer areas but remain insufficient to overtake the leader. With the vote only days away, these trends have stabilized trader expectations that Die Linke will finish ahead, though narrow margins in some surveys leave room for last-minute shifts in turnout or undecided voters.
