**Forecast models and climatological norms position 90-91°F as the consensus highest temperature for Miami on September 14, 2026.** Multiple sources, including GFS-based outlooks and local reports, project a daytime high near 88°F with scattered afternoon thunderstorms, while the long-term average high for mid-September at Miami International Airport sits at approximately 89.4°F. Current conditions on September 13 show highs around 90°F under humid, mostly cloudy skies with thunderstorm activity, setting up a similar pattern for the following day. Light easterly winds and typical sea-breeze effects are expected to moderate peak heating, while high humidity (around 70-80%) supports heat-index values near 98°F even if air temperatures peak modestly. Recent model runs show limited disagreement, with no strong high-pressure ridge or tropical influence to push readings into the mid-90s. Thunderstorm timing and coverage remain the key variables that could trim the maximum by a degree or two if storms develop earlier than expected. This aligns with the market-implied odds favoring the narrow 90-91°F bin, reflecting traders’ assessment of near-normal late-summer conditions in South Florida.
