Recent polling averages place the Parti Québécois at roughly 29% support, ahead of the Coalition Avenir Québec at 23-24% and the Quebec Liberal Party at 20-22%, with the Parti Conservateur du Québec and Québec solidaire trailing further. This positioning reflects the PQ's sustained lead among francophone voters since the campaign began after the August 27 dissolution, bolstered by consistent seat projections showing an 80% probability of the most seats despite a likely minority outcome. The CAQ, now led by Christine Fréchette following François Legault's earlier resignation, has gained some ground in suburban and older-voter segments but remains behind. Key campaign factors include cost-of-living pressures, healthcare access, U.S. tariff impacts, and language policy debates, with polls stabilizing in early September and voter firmness higher for the PQ. The upcoming October 5 vote and remaining debates could still influence final seat distributions.
