The open seat following incumbent Peter Bročka’s April 2026 decision not to seek re-election has produced a fragmented field for Trnava’s October 24 mayoral vote, with trader consensus reflecting a near-even split between frontrunners Branislav Baroš (KDH/Trnava pre každého) at 41% and Eva Nemčovská (Lepšia Trnava) at 39%. Baroš, who finished second in 2022, emphasizes transport funding via a mobility pool, safety, and housing, while Nemčovská, the sitting vice-mayor, stresses continuity with data-driven parking solutions and expanded rental housing. Andrea Čajková (Trnava Plus) trails at 11.5% on a civic platform, and Ľubica Horváthová (Demokrati) sits near 1%. A separate coalition ticket for Martin Pullmann adds further dispersion. The balanced pricing mirrors limited local polling, comparable name recognition among established local figures, and the absence of a dominant late-campaign event or endorsement that would consolidate support ahead of the combined municipal and regional ballot.
