**Dems sweep leads at 69.5% in the Maine Senate and Governor combo market, followed by Other at 50.0% and the split outcome of Democratic governor with Republican Senate at 29.5%.** Recent primaries and candidate changes explain the positioning. Term-limited Democratic Governor Janet Mills opened the gubernatorial race, where nominee Hannah Pingree maintains a double-digit lead over Republican Bobby Charles in summer and early fall polling, with forecasts rating the contest Likely or Solid Democratic. On the Senate side, Republican incumbent Susan Collins faces Democrat Troy Jackson after Graham Platner’s July withdrawal; multiple polls show a toss-up with Collins holding narrow edges or ties. The combination favors a Democratic sweep because the governor’s race tilts strongly blue while the Senate remains competitive in a state that has favored Democrats in recent presidential voting. Split results stay plausible given the Senate’s closeness, while Republican sweeps register near zero due to the governor outlook. No major late-breaking developments have shifted these dynamics in the past month.

A candidate will be considered to represent a party by their ballot-listed affiliation or if they are the nominee of that party. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party.
If the results of these elections are not conclusively known by March 31, 2027, or if an independent or third-party candidate wins one of these elections, this market will resolve to "Other".
For purposes of this market, a "sweep" is when a party wins both races.
The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources have conclusively called the relevant Senate and Gubernatorial elections. If all three sources do not achieve consensus in calling the relevant races for this market, it will resolve based on the official certification.
