Florida's 19th Congressional District, an open seat previously held by Republican Byron Donalds who is running for governor, leans strongly Republican based on recent presidential voting margins and independent ratings classifying it as safe or solid for the GOP. Jim Schwartzel, a local Naples businessman, secured the Republican nomination in the August 18, 2026 primary with 29.1 percent in a crowded field that included candidates backed by national figures. Victor Arias, an attorney, won the Democratic primary with 45.5 percent. Trader consensus reflects the district's partisan composition, Schwartzel's local profile and endorsements from conservative leaders, and the limited path for Democratic gains in this Southwest Florida area ahead of the November 3 general election. A major unforeseen development such as a candidate scandal or sharp national political shift could alter the outlook, though structural factors limit such risks.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
