Florida's 2nd Congressional District remains a solidly Republican seat following the retirement of incumbent Neal Dunn, with nonpartisan forecasters rating the November 3, 2026, general election as Safe or Solid Republican. Austin Rogers secured the GOP nomination in the August 18 primary by prevailing in a crowded field of eight candidates, bolstered by endorsements from conservative congressional leaders and ties to Sen. Rick Scott. This outcome, combined with the district's consistent Republican voting patterns and the limited path for Democrats, underpins trader consensus favoring Rogers. Amanda Green won her party's primary but faces structural barriers in a North Florida district where the prior Republican nominee prevailed by more than 20 points. Developments that could narrow the gap include major national political shifts, candidate-specific controversies, or unusually elevated Democratic turnout in the remaining weeks before Election Day.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
