**Recent official forecasts and model consensus point to a highest temperature of 24–26°C in Tokyo on September 23, supporting the market's concentration on those outcomes.** Following heavy rainfall on September 21 that suppressed temperatures, northeasterly flow and increasing cloud cover are limiting daytime heating as a high-pressure system builds. Japan Meteorological Agency guidance and multiple ensemble runs show overcast to mostly cloudy skies with only light rain chances, keeping maximums near or slightly above seasonal normals of about 25°C. Afternoon temperatures are expected to peak in the mid-20s under persistent marine influence, with limited potential for brief clearing that could allow a spike toward 27°C or higher. Traders are pricing in this stable, modest range ahead of final verification from the Tokyo observation site.
