Recent Met Office forecasts and ensemble model runs indicate a daytime maximum of 24–25 °C for London on 22 September under high pressure, with light winds, mostly sunny or partly cloudy skies, and minimal cloud cover limiting cooling. This setup favors subsidence warming and aligns with the market’s leading 24 °C outcome at 44.5 % implied probability, while the 25 °C and 23 °C options capture residual model spread and slight timing differences in peak heating. Above-average late-September conditions driven by a persistent anticyclone explain the clustering of trader sentiment around these values rather than cooler historical norms near 19–20 °C. Final official observations from the designated station will resolve the market tomorrow.
