Leigh Gray holds an 83% implied probability in the Brighton Council mayoral market ahead of Tasmania’s October 27, 2026 local elections, reflecting his status as the long-serving incumbent first elected mayor in 2021 after 16 years as a councillor. Traders appear to price in continuity based on his established local profile, recent election as LGAT Vice President, and absence of widely reported challengers who have shifted polling or campaign dynamics. Phil Owen trades at 7.5% while a long list of other named candidates and “Other” sit near even money, consistent with limited visibility or trading volume on alternatives. The market resolves to the official Tasmanian Electoral Commission result, with any delay past March 2027 triggering the “Other” outcome. No major late-cycle developments have altered the current consensus positioning.
