Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and multiple models centers on a high of 97–99°F for Austin on September 18 under mostly sunny skies, light easterly winds, and minimal cloud cover that favors strong solar heating. This setup reflects typical late-summer subsidence and above-average seasonal temperatures, with dew points supporting heat indices near 103°F. The 62.5% market weighting on 98–99°F and 24% on 96–97°F closely tracks these official projections, while lower odds for 100°F+ or sub-96°F reflect limited upside from any unexpected warming or downside from minor moisture. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 24 hours will provide the final resolution data.
