Recent polling from early September places Roger Gronerth Pinedo of Somos Perú in the lead for the October 4, 2026, Maynas mayoral race, reflecting his prior strong showing and party organization in the Loreto region. A highly fragmented field exceeding twenty candidates spreads support across parties including Alianza para el Progreso, Fuerza Popular, and Perú Libre, preventing any single contender from consolidating a clear majority. Trader positioning aligns with these surveys while accounting for potential late shifts from campaign events, turnout patterns in the provincial electorate, or last-minute alliances. The two-week window before voting leaves room for modest movement if frontrunner momentum holds or challengers gain on local issues such as infrastructure and public services.
