High pressure aloft and a coastal thermal trough are driving clear skies, light northerly winds, and dry conditions across the Seattle area on September 17, supporting afternoon highs in the mid-70s at Sea-Tac International Airport and downtown stations. National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a peak near 74°F under full sun, consistent with recent climatological norms around 70°F for mid-September and slightly above the prior day’s 74°F reading. Trader consensus in the 76-77°F bin at 60% implied probability and 74-75°F at 33.5% reflects ongoing assessment of micro-scale variations in official measurement sites and any late-day model adjustments, with only minimal probability assigned to outliers given the stable synoptic setup and lack of cloud cover or marine influence.
