Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private providers converge on a Chicago high of 64–70°F for September 24, 2026, driven by persistent easterly flow, stable high pressure, and lingering cloud cover that limits daytime heating below the 72.9°F historical average. Recent cool anomalies—following several days of below-normal readings—have reinforced trader consensus around the 68–69°F bin at 56.5% implied probability, with 70–71°F as the next most likely outcome. Light winds and high humidity further moderate peak temperatures, while minimal precipitation risk and no frontal passages reduce upside potential for warmer readings. Updated model runs and official briefings remain the key near-term catalysts.
