Recent polls leading into Berlin’s September 20, 2026 Abgeordnetenhaus election showed the CDU falling to roughly 20 percent support, down sharply from its 28.2 percent result in the 2023 repeat vote, amid low coalition satisfaction and voter focus on housing affordability. The Linke surged ahead at 21–23 percent while AfD reached 17–18 percent and the Greens and SPD trailed, creating a tight five-party race that compresses CDU seat projections under personalized proportional representation with a 5 percent threshold. Latest September surveys and seat models placed the CDU in the low-to-mid 30s range, producing the market’s emphasis on the 30–34 and 35–39 bands as the highest-probability outcomes. Trader pricing reflects uncertainty over final turnout, minor-party thresholds, and any overhang mandates that could shift totals by a few seats.
