Recent polls during the 2026 Quebec election campaign place the CAQ in second behind the PQ at around 23-24% support, after gains of several points since May, while the PLQ has slipped to third near 22%. This shift reflects stronger CAQ performance among francophone voters outside Montreal and in suburban areas, alongside voter movement on issues such as cost of living, U.S. tariffs, and language policy. The PQ's consistent lead reduces its prospects for second place, and smaller parties like the PCQ and QS trail further back with limited regional strength. Traders appear to view these trends as favoring the CAQ for second-place finish on October 5, though late-campaign volatility and undecided voters could alter positioning.
