**Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” stands as the clear frontrunner for 2026 CMA Song of the Year, backed by its record-shattering chart run and strong industry momentum.** The track, co-written with Miranda Lambert and others, spent over 20 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and led multiple country charts, while also claiming Single and Song of the Year at the 2026 ACM Awards. Its nominations announcement in mid-September highlighted Langley’s nine total nods, including two Song of the Year entries (“Choosin’ Texas” and “Be Her”), underscoring her dominance this cycle. Other nominees such as Kacey Musgraves’ “Dry Spell,” Megan Moroney’s “Beautiful Things,” and Stephen Wilson Jr.’s “Gary” trail significantly in trader sentiment, reflecting “Choosin’ Texas”’s unmatched commercial impact and critical buzz heading into the November 18 ceremony. Historical CMA voting patterns often reward songs with broad crossover appeal and multiple precursor wins, positioning this as the market’s consensus pick despite the inherent unpredictability of final balloting.
