The Quebec general election on October 5 features a fragmented vote with the PQ leading at roughly 28%, followed closely by the Liberals and CAQ near 22-24%, while the PCQ under Éric Duhaime holds 15-17% support in recent polls, an all-time high for the party in some surveys. This level of backing, concentrated in the Quebec City region where the PCQ often leads or places second, supports seat projections in the 7-18 range depending on final riding-level splits and turnout. Recent developments including Duhaime’s emphasis on tax cuts, regional autonomy, and an endorsement from former Lévis mayor Gilles Lehouillier have sustained momentum without producing a decisive breakout. Trader odds across the 8-13 seat bands reflect the narrow margins in competitive ridings and the potential for late shifts in a multi-party contest to alter PCQ efficiency.
